As a child I watched without, a complete comprehension of, my fathers implementation of his core ethical and moral values every day. Having been mentored by him, subcontiously, it instilled within me very strong ethical and moral values. These values have caused me many opportunities one particularly successful one worth mentioning is as follows…
After a very difficult divorce proceeding which lasted a couple of years I fell into a very unfamiliar emotion. This emotion which had a hold on me was a state of depression. Not wanting to be in public, staying in dark rooms, unwilling to partake in everyday life. These actions in no way fit my normal personality traits. As a Realtor they were also very detrimental to my business & Income. Late one night while on the computer I decided to find something that would be such a great deal it would compell me to present it to potential investors. As I searched the Multiple Listing Service for some property of value and interest I came across a few. With a small spark it began to manifest itself within me to evaluate these opportunities and settle on, what I believed to be, the very best choice. Once I had made my decision I began the search for a buyer and I presented it to everyone Family, Friends, Investors, even a few strangers. The response I received was, well let’s just say unexpected. Family members thought I had really lost it. Friends chose to distance themself from me and my ideas. Investors couldn’t grasp the value or my reasons for promoting such a property. Disappointment, rejection, and a dampening of my spirit began manifesting itself. Trying to overcome being depressed, broke, and now somewhat of an outcast made me question my core beliefs. Something caused me to change my thought process to, If I believe this is such a great deal why don’t I figure out a way to take advantage of it? An interesting thought for a poor, depressed, outcast Realtor who had very little belief in their own accomplishments, or lack there of. Well needless to say I set out to find funding in order for me to acquire this property. The property was listed for $175,000 for 160 acres (which was a screaming deal to me for many reasons) but it was remotely located down many miles of dirt road. While searching out funding a strange thing began to occur, I started to become more alert, alive, and assertive. The energy I was emitting caused one of the Investors (who had no interest in the property) to work out a loan for me. Without thinking about much I was ready to agree to most anything to accomplish my goal of acquiring this property so I agreed to all of their terms. Just as a mention that once everything was said and done the Investor made over 40% return on their money (figured over a year) within 6 months. Many would say that is insane, but this transaction was something I believed in, with all of my experience and knowledge. Here is how it went down, I was trying to borrow 130% of the purchase price in order that I have enough funds to maintain the debt service on the loan until my financial situation improved. Fat chance anyone was going to over fund the deal by that much, so I just kept trying to find someone to lend me the funds. Then shockingly one of the Investors who turned the deal down said they would be willing to consider funding me to make the deal. This investor wasn’t willing to loan as much as I hoped for but was willing to consider loaning 103% of the purchase price. Being a Realtor I would earn a commission, so that would also help. Needless to say the properties listing had expired by the time I acquired a funding agreement. The property had been on the market for over three years, been reduced by over half the original asking price, and now was expired and off the market. After contacting one of the owners/Agent they submitted they would have a discussion with the partners to see if they would consider my offer. Once the sellers agreed to the sale they also reduced the commission to be paid since it was no longer listed. Now I wasn’t able to borrow as much as I needed, and will earn less than expected, while having to pay a great deal more for the funds than I hoped. So where was this deal going to go right? Once the deal was done I had a debt to maintain and maintaining it became a chore. Having an additional bill each month wasn’t something easy to maintain. After four months of struggling I began shopping the property as a potential trade for a large estate home in order to build upon the potential. When I tried to trade the property for $1,000,000 toward the purchase of a $1,800,000 10,000sq ft hm on 10 acres it was rejected, but the listing agent mentioned my property to the buyers of the estate. The buyers contacted me with some interest in my property, at which time an unsolicited offer came to me for 130% of my purchase price. This offer hadn’t really interested me too much because of all the costs involved I wouldn’t have much of a profit if any. Then the buyers of that estate home called me to discuss their interest, which I immediately submitted I had just received a cash offer from another interested party. Well their interest was such that they were willing to meet with me to negotiate a figure. After a couple of weeks of negotiation that figure became over 400% of the origional purchase price. Yes, I agreed and ended up selling that property for a very nice profit all within 6 months time. The Investor, who had borrowed the funds against their own home to loan me the funds made a profit of 34% on borrowed money while I made over 290% on borrowed money. So with none of our own funds within 6 months we both made nice returns and it gave me a new outlook on life. There is a lot more to this story, but I tried to keep it somewhat brief. Not being a writer I hope this story was conveyed in an appealing way.

Hello Frank! You are a treasure. Thanks for your inspiration.

In December 2009, I was a very poor university student, drained from my “education”, and I had grown extremely tired after 6 years at Law School. I initially thought I was going to be some kind of high flying lawyer, and everything would be great. After doing work experience, I figured that it really was not my passion.

So, in the month of December, I started a blog for women on Femininity and relationship advice. THIS is my passion. The blog grew quite quickly. After 6 months of blogging, I had around 700 subscribers.

At this point, in June, I figured that I had given away a lot of really cool information for Free. I realized that if I was going to be truly successful, then I must force myself to sell something because people vote with their money. And this would give me more reason to invest more energy and resources in to helping people.

So, with the help of my man or 5 years, we decided to do a Product Launch. We called it Attraction Control

With no idea whatsoever of how it was going to go, we dived in. We put our heart and soul in to it, making pre-launch videos, making and giving valuable information to put in to this 7-week program that we called Attraction Control. It would only be available for a limited time.

Come launch day, we had no idea what to expect. We had a small clue when a fan posted on the facebook page saying she had her face glued to the computer screen waiting for the launch. We were excited!! Maybe our hard work would pay off!

The launch went for 5 days. By the end of the first 24 hour period, we had made 8 sales at $97 US each. To our surprise, by the end of the launch, (our very first launch) we had made $3600 US!

36 people had paid $97 up front for this 7-week program and we had a list of 700 people.

At this point in time, I was so grateful to Frank, and so grateful to myself for trusting Frank and his advice. Since then, I have launched an e-book, and am now working on my second product launch which will take place in early 2011.

And top top everything off – using Frank’s strategies, we got not ONE SINGLE refund. Not one!

As a young couple (25 years old), we look forward to serving more people and more customers in the future and adding more and more value whilst finally being able to afford food on the table and a trip to Thailand. Our first trip in the whole 5 years we have been together.

Anyone can make money if they listen to people and provide what people need, not what they think people need.

Love and inspiration,

Renee and David.

GRATITUDE

Thanks Frank for the opportunity to share this particular story since I think anyone who gets that: Success comes proportionate to the amount of influencers you help and the positive conversations and relationships you create and nurture. Also when you have a spark of an idea act on it even if it is a reaction you get from the negative impute you receive from the news or critics. Before this year I had struggled to get media attention for me and my client’s books I helped write and publish and I always dreamed about being a prosperous playwright, producer, interviewer, story teller and professional speaker. Keep in mind, I also lacked passion and focus in one money generating product or service.

BREAKTHROUGH

My breakthrough also came in an October. It was the end of October 2009 when I heard the naysayers criticize the Nobel Peace Committee for picking Barack Obama for the recipient of the Nobel Peace Award. It hit a nerve with me because I too had my heart set on an award. An Oscar for best new playwright given out by the Academy. Was my screenplay completed or in the hands of an agent? No, but my husband generously gifted me time to work on it for 1/2 a year in 2009 (after I helped him successfully launch his six figure IT programming business Immersion Technology three years earlier) As a result I finished a draft and sent it to a script coach who formally worked for Show Time and HBO. He and his partner read and reject it on the basis of too many plots which I wasn’t wiling to give up at the time. Then I met with a Hollywood movie producer out in LA in April 2009 interested in the project and never reconnected. (Yes fear of success had definitely been a dream stopper.) Yet there was this nagging feeling even after watching my Mind Movie over and over that there was something I needed to do first to help me finish my screenplay and heal a part of me that thought my story/screenplay wasn’t good enough yet. After all how did all the award winning artists and best selling authors feel the fear and do it anyway?

MENTORS

The seeds of my answer came to me at the end of October 2009, the same week I simultaneously enrolled in Fabienne Fredrickson 10 Week Client Attraction boot camp and Ryan Lee’s $1 trial marketing and mindset continuity membership site. Somewhere in there I also requested Frank Kern’s gift of CORE INFLUENCE.

BIG IDEA

I imagined myself standing before a global audience at the Nobel Peace Concert the day after Barack accepted his award hosted by Will Smith and family. In three minutes I would give my best tips and inspiration for how I’ve helped my friends, massage and business strategy clients create peace and prosperity in their lives. I began having this conversation with a couple friends about my three minute presentation in Oslo, Norway. I was getting all sorts of feedback what others would say in their three minutes on the global stage including my friend Dave, “Hey you spelled my name wrong!”

TAKING ACTION

These casual conversations gave me impetus to book space at Circle of Miracles, the interfaith church that first sparked an idea for an afternoon workshop where people would ignore what they heard from the media and get the chance to express their experience of peace and what the word PEACE even meant. I also had the idea to film the conversation and send a 3-7 minute conversation movie montage to the Nobel Peace Committee by the time Mr. Obama gave his acceptance speech December 10, 2009. I had made my goal with no idea how it would pan out since I had little money and no editing equipment at the time. It was at the end of October 2009 the clock was ticking.

OPEN TO MIRACLES AND OPPORTUNITIES

Little did I know a retired film maker in his 80′s who had just moved from California to New Jersey to take up painting would take my afternoon project to a whole new level. Bill Jersey (who had been nominated for or won all the prestigious awards I had on my film makers wish list!) asked me who was going to film my workshop and I lit up! “I had one company in mind,” I told him but secretly was thrilled to have him do it which he agreed.

Within a couple days, my media savvy friend Edie Weinstein whose known me since I was 12 and married me and my husband told lots of her friends to register for my November 29, 2009 event that would be filmed by an Emmy award winning film maker! This was precious and within 48 hours my bank and payola account had risen $1495 in registrations for our four hour community forum. This included sixteen participants who donated $50-$250 for the two charities I selected to receive profits from the event including; Twilight Wish, my friend’s 501c3 that honors low income seniors and makes dreams come true and Circle of Miracles the host of my big event after the profits of film making and marketing costs.

MARKETING

Then I put the word out on HARO, a free media query site that I was looking to interview someone who actually attended the Nobel Awards and got an interview with Anita Laughlin the spouse of a Nobel Laureate who won 12 years ago in Physics and had just written a book on the experience! Borrowing the credibility of my Emmy Award winning film maker, suddenly I had two pricy PR agents eating out of my hands feeding me great experts to interview, a project I had never considered when I set out to do an afternoon workshop to get answers for myself to deal with my own issues around PEACE.

DISCOVERY

I finally discovered the power of tapping into a global community to get their pulse on a subject near and dear to their heart. Sure Frank Kern had been talking about this all along yet I did have my WHY or WHAT until the 2009 global peace conversation.

GOALS

I’m happy to report I achieved my three goals set last October:

1. To share the profits of the workshop with two local charities; Twilight Wish and Circle of Miracles

2. To send a digital copy of the workshop to the Nobel Peace Committee. Just in the nick of time, my husband surprised me with his new Apple Pro two weeks before my deadline and helped me edit four hours down to 6 minutes and 37 seconds. Hours before my deadline it was digitally uploaded to Youtube and a link sent to the Nobel Peace Committee just in the nick of time by my December 10 deadline when Barack Obama gave his talk

3. To have an online community of peace makers to exchange ideas. To date I have over 40 interviews with luminaries from around the world making a difference in the community

RESULTS

Goal number three has been a year long joy which has connected me with guests for my LiveYourPeace.com interview series from around the world. The biggest lessons I’ve learned is I how in demand the service is to give best selling authors, multi-millionaire entrepreneurs award winning artists and everyday community leaders a venue to share their stories. Thi act of generosity has been powerful beyond belief. As a result I’ve been invited to speak on stage with luminaries and joint venture on exciting projects. Before in my career I was trying to figure out how to GET noticed and then by accident I discovered that the SECRET was to give what I wanted to the ones already doing what I wanted to do. The more movers and shakers I helped and spread their message the more I learned from them. I begun to rise in credibility and share in their level of excellence just by filling my head and heart with their proven methods and inspiring stories and giving them a venue to share and be heard and seen!

MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO

When ever I saw one of my friends such as Edie who helped me raise a thousand dollars in 48 hours, I contacted that same experts she interviewed if they were going to b in my city to speak. The LiveYourPeace.com community of experts really took off after my media friend Edie Weinstein invited me to participate in a three time best seller’s book launch campaign. For my product give away during her big book launch I offered to interview her. This really helped open up the credibility door to interview other superstars in the Self Help Spiritual, Success Entrepreneur venue as I casually mentioned the names of my previous guests. It worked like a charm!

At the National Book Expo in May 2010 I got a great piece of coaching doing a Q and A session with Gary Veynerchuk. When I asked how to monetize my community he told me not to ruin a good thing. That I had only been at this for less than a year and that building relationships and content was king. What was the hurry!

PAY OFF

Turns out Gary was right. Shortly after opportunities opened up to share my story and speak on stage with some heavy hitters at two live events. The story continues as I help my Scripting for Success clients write their own media success story in a way that had landed me these gigs. I continue to be grateful for every opportunity I get to teach other entrepreneurs interested in connecting their passion to a global conversation to attract the attention of industry superstars and media attention. It’s so important to create a venue or outlet to feed your passion because it turns luminaries and media are hungry for the same thing and will be looking for you to help them spread your global conversation.

Seven years ago I was depressed, suicidal, ill and sorry for myself. And I was SO sick of myself! I became a coach as a way to dig myself out of my rut. I started helping people and it turned out that I was good at it.
I turned my talent into a system and started The Coaching Institute. And I studied everyone and everything in success, because I believe all success is replicable.
I studied NLP, Tony Robbins, Dan Kennedy, Jeff Walker, Frank Kern, Eben Pagan, Ryan Diess, and not just their programs, but how they marketed their programs.
I applied everything and learned what worked in my business. And the most important thing that works is me and my mindset. I no longer make excuses for my any lack of results. I take 100% responsibility for what happens, and if I don’t like a result, I find out who has already overcome that challenge, figure out what they did and apply it until we get a better result.
Within five years The Coaching Institute was regularly doing in excess of $5m. The more I apply what works, the more things work! Which means having no ego about what I am willing to learn and change about how I do things.
This year we will turn over in excess of $10,000,000, I have just spent four days at my beach house with my family and this week I am attending the finals of the Best Business Woman in Australia – I find out tomorrow if I’ve won. I have written a book on business success, helped over 3,000 people become coaches, built a business I only work on, not it and have created my ideal life.
None of this would have been possible if I hadn’t figured out that it was my thinking that was causing my lack of results and it was only bychanging my thinking that I would get a better result.

Went to 9 schools in 11 years of schooling. High school drop out. Back to University as adult. Got 4 degrees and PhD. Learned about business from Robert Kiyosaki – read his book cover to cover in the bookshop – was too tight on cash to buy it. Became a medical researcher. In the middle of all this I had panic attacks and anxiety disorder which I then CRUSHED and haven’t had for 8 years. Started a publishing company and sold it. Turned to internet marketing. Learned my IM chops from James Schramko. Came across Frank Kern in the pre-launch video for MC2. Bought it straight away. Used MC to do a launch and did $58K on my first launch. Took some coaching from David Bullock who helped me grow my ambition and remove limitations. He helped me become a time lord. I’m doing all this to be able to spend more time with my wife and kids. It doesn’t matter how much money you have if you don’t have time and the autonomy to do what you want to do when you get up every morning. I now teach other people about online business and have spoken internationally and in front of crowds of 3-500 people. That’s my success story. Thanks for your stuff Frank.

I was dragged kicking and screaming (not literally, but it DOES make for a good story!) by my husband to a part of the country as far from my home in Seattle as it is possible to get, because of his job. I went — because I knew it was temporary — but I was miserable. I had given up the sunset-over-the-mountains-Puget Sound view, complete with ravens, orcas, blue sky and clean air…for a 37th floor condo in a concrete jungle. I was miserable. And because I was miserable, he was miserable. On New Year’s Day, a year into the move, we agreed that the best way to survive the unhappiness was to plot our “escape” by asking: “What would be a big enough reason to make staying in this godforsaken city worth it for the next couple of years?” In other words, “let’s play this like a game. What would make the game worth playing?” We agreed that the coolest way to get home at the end of our exile was on our own boat. We broke out poster board, magic markers, magazines, crayons and post-its, and covered the wall of our living room with the perfect plot: Buy a boat, and when his job was finished, we’d return to Seattle on our own boat — a journey of about 7,000 miles. We played like little kids — and produced a three-year calendar with ‘drop dead dates’ for research, courses, certifications, charts, and other resources we’d need to throw off the lines — and set a date by which we’d start the journey. On January 21, 2007, AS PLANNED, we threw off the lines and headed out to sea on our 49-foot trawler Emma Jo. It’s now November, 2010. We’re a little over 1/3 of the way “home” — currently at a marina in Huatulco, Mexico. In the three years, he’s returned to his regular work (as an engineer on a ship) and I’ve created a new income for myself as a freelance writer — something I can do from anywhere in the world there’s an internet connection. No, we’re not rich. But our life is. The success lies in taking action together to make the most of our circumstances, set common goals together, and create a common goal that lights both of us up. I started a website chronicling our journey — it’s at http://www.emmajo.net.

One of my childhood dreams was to become a concert celloist. Gave that up when I went on to Engineering School. 20 years later, with a PhD in Material Science, I found myself out of a job. Decided to go back to one of my original loves and have been working with Thomas Landshoot ever since that time. Making remarkable progress and looking forward to the day when I can give a performance that will have a real audience.

My success story doesn’t end in a million dollar day… YET. I am only 21 years old and I actually just closed out an extremely successful launch with my partner. We just closed out our launch and it did $17,213.02 in 4 days.

But it didn’t all start out so easy. I have been trying to make money online ever since I was in the 10th grade, which would have made me around 15 or 16 years old. I tried multiple products to make money online. The first one I ever tried was one named “The Ultimate Wealth Package”. I think the guys name was Mark Warren. And that was the first time the “dream” became something I wanted to strive for. Well the product wasn’t really effective, it was just basically “Buy my product, make your own site to promote my stuff and you’ll make $50,000/month.” Well THAT didn’t work out very well.

I tried multiple other products to make me “rich”, but none of those really had the right concepts either.

I was then brought into a network marketing “opportunity” named Gano Excel. The main guy was named Robert Hollis, and he sent me an audio interview that Tony Robbins did with Frank Kern. THAT IS WHEN IT ALL CHANGED.

I eventually heard about other guys like Eben Pagan, Jeff Walker, Andy Jenkins, and Mike K. I learned TONS of things from their material. I eventually went into action and tried the things that they taught me, but things didn’t go how I planned it.

That is when I knew that I had to IMMERSE myself, and understand that these things were not going to just “happen”. I had to better MYSELF in order for success to come my way.

It took a while, but after trial and error, and keeping my MINDSET right, it finally happened for me!

The reason why lots of people fail isn’t because they don’t have the potential, its because they don’t FOLLOW THROUGH. If you just DON’T give up and if you truly just keep on keepin’ on, then you will SUCCEED!

You have to get this “Doomsday” mindset OUT of your head and focus your mind on the RIGHT things.

“Success leaves clues” -Jim Rohn Its simple, look at the things that successful people are doing, and DO THOSE THINGS. It works, you just have to keep pushing through what your mind tells you that you cannot do.

I encourage you to move forward and to NEVER give up.

-Clayton
